Famous Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, and Pakistan’s former cricket captain Shoaib Malik are getting married. Shoaib’s family including his mother Sultana Farooq, brother Adeel Malik, sister Shazia Imran, sister Sadaf Malik, nephew Mamoon Imran and a niece Zainab Imran have arrived for the much anticipated wedding.

The wedding of Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik comes after Shoaib dealt with league problems in March. The Sania Mirza Shoaib Malik wedding was announced on Twitter recently by Malik. But last month he twittered “Reports of me getting banned by the PCB for disciplinary breach during aus is really hurting…”

“[I’m] really disappointed. discussing with lawyers on the legal action. PCB is not even clearly telling me the exact reason for my ban… this move will hurt Pakistan cricket which is already going through a bad patch.”

By March 29, that bad news turned to good, with Malik confirming the engagement rumors: “Thanks for all your support. And the news of Me marrying to Sania is true. Inshallah will get married in April.”

But recently he twittered how “controversies” won’t affect his marriage. “All these controversies that r comin out would not effect our marriage. Sania and me are not bothered about the past and happy about our marriage.”

Sania Mirza recent told press “I have been in the constant glare for too long and would appreciate privacy at this very personal moment in my life.”

India’s tennis player, Sania Mirza is to be married to Shoaib Malik, the former cricket captain of Pakistan. A formal wedding reception has been scheduled within a month. There will be no engagement function.

This news was confirmed by Imran Mirza, father of Sania, late on Monday night.

“The couple will be based in Dubai, where Shoaib is a resident, and Sania will continue to play tennis once she recovers fully from the wrist injury that has marred her career in the recent past,” Imran said.

“My wedding is going to be the biggest day of my life.

“I have been under constant glare of the public for too long and would appreciate more privacy at this very personal moment in my life,” Sania said.

“I hope to be fully fit to represent India in the Commonwealth and Asian Games that are scheduled for later this year,” she added.
